Three regional World Boxing Federation (WBF) Championship bouts have been confirmed to headline shows in Mexican cities Tijuana, Nayarit and Mexicali in the coming weeks.

In Tijuana on November 30, at the Big Punch Arena, undefeated USA-based Australian Kylie Fulmer will take on an opponent to be confirmed for the vacant WBF Womens Intercontinental Super Bantamweight title, on a show promoted by AZTK Boxing & MMA Promotions.

36-year-old Fulmer, 5-0 (4), turned professional in October of last year, and so far all her fights have taken place in Mexico. This will be her first crack at a title.

On December 1 at El Palenque de la Feria Tepic in Nayarit, Welterweights Ramon “Cholo” Barajas (33) and Joel “Dinamita” Juarez (39) will square off for the vacant WBF Mexico title, in what could be a final chance at glory for both men.

Barajas is 11-16 (4) in his ten-year career, while fellow veteran Juarez brings a 32-33-2 record, having boxed professionally since 2002. The fight will be promoted by La Cueva Boxing Promotions.

Finally, Sergio “Checo” Ortega and Lizandro De los Santos fights for the vacant WBF Mexico Light Welterweight title on December 7 in Mexicali, on a card staged by 686 Boxing Promotions.

Home-man Ortega (24), 19-2 (13), presumably the fresher fighter, must be considered the favourite, but De los Santos (27), 24-16-1 (10) has an edge in experience. It will be interesting to see whom of the two can implement their advantage best.
