Big-punching Southpaw prospect William “Camaron” Zepeda is set to make the first defense of his World Boxing Federation (WBF) Mexican Lightweight title against Pedro Solis Rodriguez on Friday April 27 at the Polidiportivo Juan S. Millan in Culiacan.

Only twenty-one years old, Zepeda has put together an impressive 13-0 record since turning professional in November of 2015. Eleven of his victories has come inside the distance, and ten of those within the first four rounds.

Zepeda already holds wins over tough opponents such as Manuel Castro (17-5), Juan Pablo Borbon (7-1-2), against whom he won the WBF title last October, and former Mexican titlist and WBC regional belt-holder Jesus Acosta (21-8-2).

While a healthy favourite, he will face another stern challenge in Pedro Solis Rodriguez (25), who brings a stellar 9-3 (5) ledger. The styles are expected to mesh well, and the fans should be in for an entertaining, and very likely explosive, fight.

The WBF Mexican Lightweight title fight headlines a show promoted by Straight Jab Promotions in association with JD Promotions.
