Both World Boxing Federation (WBF) male and female World Bantamweight titles will be on the line on Friday March 31, when Lyon Promotions, Dream Team Promotions and Amandla Promotions collaborates to stage a big show at the Oliver Tambo Hall in Cape Town, South Africa.

Undefeated local contender Mzuvukile “Old Bones” Magwaca will take on Filipino champion Jason Ganoy for the vacant WBF World Bantamweight crown, and reigning South African national king-pin Bukiwe Nonina faces former world champion Alesia Graf from Germany for the women’s version.

Mzuvukile Magwaca, 17-0-2 (10) has won several regional championships, including the WBF All Africa, since turning professional in 2009. While he has beat numerous good opponents, Jason Ganoy, 26-6-2 (19), is likely to be his stiffest test in what is both boxers first world title fight.

Bukiwe “Anaconda” Nonina, 10-4-1 (2), will certainly be in with her toughest foe, since losing to current WBC world champion Catherine Phiri in November of 2014. Since then she has gone unbeaten in five straight outings, but hasn’t fought anyone near the level of Alesia Graf.

36-year-old Graf, 29-5 (13), has had an amazing career, since making her paid debut in 2004. With twenty championship fights on her ledger, fifteen of them victories, she is one of the most accomplished female boxers in the game.

In March and June of 2014 she lost two world title fights in Mexico, both on points to Zulina Munoz and Yazmin Rivas, but she is coming off three straight victories and travels to South Africa focused on showing the boxing world that she is still one of the best.
