When Sauerland Promotion opens the doors at Ceres Arena in Aarhus, Denmark on Saturday March 18, one of the featured attractions of the night will be a fight for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) World Heavyweight title between undefeated Kosovo-born Erzen Rrustemi and Ricardo Humberto Ramirez from Argentina.

Fighting for the title in recent times held by notables such as Carlos Takam, Michael Grant, Frans Botha and living legend Evander Holyfield, 33-year-old Rrustemi is inspired by the fact that he can follow in the footsteps of one of his heroes, should he be successful in Aarhus.

I would like to thank the WBF for giving me this chance to fight for the world Heavyweight championship, the same title Evander Holyfield held. Winning this title will give me great satisfaction”, said the 11-0 (9) current resident of Burgsdorf in Switzerland.

His opponent, Ricardo Humberto Ramirez (36), brings a 14-2 (11) ledger to the fight. Nicknamed “El Tigre”, the man from Perito Moreno has proved to be very dangerous, especially in the early rounds, and Rrustemi knows he must be on top of his game to emerge victorious.

I’m expecting a tough fight”, said Rrustemi from his training camp. “Ramirez is known to hit very hard, and he always goes for the knockout. He has faced many strong opponents too. Of course I will give my best, and I want to win, with or without a knockout.”

Rrustemi showed in his most recent outing, last April, that he has carried his own power up to Heavyweight, after campaigning most of his career at Cruiserweight, when he knocked out another Argentinian, Ruben Angel Mino (31-3) in the second round.
